But I was young and I was just getting into shaping my own boards at that time. Here is my very first interpretation of R.B.'s design. Now, you’re gonna have a hard time to find anything that even comes close…
Good thinking at the time, it would work much better with some progressive rocker out behind the back foot.
My first was similar to posted, and actually surfed fine, until the kick hit the water. Instantly, the board would slow down radically, and throw me off balance.
Decided maybe a more progressive rocker would be easier to surf.
Paddling wasn’t as bad as you’d think.
Fortunately, TE was disposed of when the new forum started. Unfortunately, I think he was the main reason for the forum upgrade. It was a blessing in disguise though…
Shwuz made a FP recently and we should chase him up for another update about it.

No one said the FPenquin didn’t work, only that a shaper could achieve the same results with a modified shape, and not have to pay for the FP design.
The colors were nice tho.
Lots of designs that are “outthere” really do work, but we tend to lump our ideas into a similar pool for mutual artistic support.
hopefully, when Jarrod is back [? from Mexico?], we’ll get a full report of how his [ ie : “Shwuz” 's] ‘don’t call it a fat penguin’ and '?don’t call it a bonzer? ’ both went in those fabled point breaks down there …
I will keep on at him until he cracks and reveals all…

in answer to your other question…there’s all sorts of wack stuufff in the archives…
and on surfer site, there was even a whole thread devoted to it !! [I forget the exact name of the thread, but it was by ‘Waldo’ [I think], and was titled something like " gotta love the …creative thinkers…" or something like that. It was on the design forum there.]
Hopefully, ‘Shwuz’ will be back to fill us in on the pgn board of his [shhh! don’t mention that bird ! ]
