quick and dirty foam compression fix?

I had a bad foam compression/delam in a 6' single fin, it was a cheap board and I wanted to get a quick fix so I decided to try this out, just wondering if anyone else has tried it. I drilled a bunch of holes in the glass in the area of the foam compression, and sprayed high density expanding foam into the gap, the type of stuff used as a sealant. The multiple holes ensured that the expanding foam wouldn't lift the glass an more, and so far its worked out nice, I've sanded it down, but haven't put a new patch of glass on yet. It feels just a little bit softer than the rest of the board, so in the future I might get the real stuff, the pourable high density foam instead of the stuff in the spray can. I'd used it before in building boats and didn't see any reason why it wouldn't work for a board. Seemed a lot easier than cutting out the glass and putting in new solid foam. Not sure how long it will last, but a quick fix for a free board.
