What do these mean in blank names?

R, RC, P, M, Y, F, B

ex: F=fish.

What about the rest?

I believe some of them are shaper’s initials… Y = Yater, I believe… I could be mistaken, though.

Famous actress is correct. US blanks does the same thing. P for Patterson, etc. This is the shaper involved in the making/designing of the original plug i believe.

Is there a somewhat general rule for rocker and wave type?

If you download the US blanks or Clark blank catalog, there are little descriptions for each about the best board to get from the specific blank and also rocker dimensions.
