Rails and bottom shape for 7'0 thruster

Next project - 7’0 x 21 x 14.5 (t) x 12.5 (n) x 3in or so thick Big guy tri fin. Im 200lbs and 5’11 and consider myself to be an alright/average surfer.

On my fish i had pretty boxy rails and was wondering what kind of rails are usually done on a thruster of this configuration. It would be nice if i could take this board to Indo one day and surf some hollow (but not too grinding) reefbreaks. Anyway, i was thinking of a domed deck with tapering rails with most of the meat in the middle of the board where it counts (i.e. under the chest). Here is how i would go about making tapered rails and not so abrupt and vertical as a boxy rail.

  1. Cut the first most outer rail band (one closest to stringer) a litter wider than normal . I would then do the successive rail bands progressively less wide going towards the rail edge but still wide enough so that the rail becomes more gently tapered? - does this make any sense?

  2. Didnt want to make a complicated bottom as im still a begginner - maybe shallow double concave in tail between fins? or just V?

sorry if my questions dont make sense

Any help much appreciated
