I maybe off here but I think for a mal, you may want less nose rocker and a little more in the tail, but for more of a funboard natural should do. Belly will help with the chop. Maybe, tucked under, down rail. Try some other boards and find the rail that fucntions well for your conditions. anyone else? JR
try going with a 50/50 rail or egg shape, if you like doing cutbacks or other maneuvers in small surf. also, don’t make the tail edge too hard. it will allow more of a looser feel. belly bottom sounds good. as far as the clark blank… if you are a beginning shaper, i wouldn’t go with such a close tolerance blank. allow some room for error. good luck

Just curious, what is surfing in Holland like
Just curious, what is surfing in Holland like Can be everthing, from warm summer waves, swell from the north with no wind to stormy south west conditions, max 6 ft in height. This means your equipment could be everthing to, my boards begin with 5.6 to 10.7 its just what you prefer to do and what’s best for the conditions that day. The best conditions however is when there’s a low over Norway, this would push the swell right up the northsea. I’m living in the south west part (the small island group on the map) and this means there’s always someplace working on any swell or storm. Peter Rijk.
