basicl rail question. rails are the one thing i cant master in surfboard design. i just got back from my shapers shed, watched him make my new board. its a late 70’s template. the rails are down rails. t his means they are thin right? they are not big and round. i have ridden hundreds of boards and i can get on a board and tell you exactly what type of rail design the board incorporates, but when looking at a rail close up i cant really tell the difference. they feel tremendously different, but dont look that different. give me rail info!
also, is a pinched rail the same as a down rail?
