Man, that sucks. My message didn’t post for some reason. Sorry. Anyway, here’s what I said (briefly).
I was working in the garage last night, whittling on some template material, and came up with the following:
7’11" Squashtail (semi-pointy nose)
16" nose x 22" wide point (3" up from center) x 16" tail
The project I have in mind is a really big guy’s (230 lbs) 1st thruster. He’s a longboarding buddy who wants something that’ll turn quicker and make steeper drops, etc. Any thoughts out there on this? He’ll be using it in small to medium sized surf only (nothing over 10’ face). Should I pull in the tail a bit or is this rough plan shape cool?
Also, is this template easily tweakable into a semi-gun? What type of changes would be obvious for this? I know this is asking for rash generalization, but I’m just thinking broad strokes here. Thanks.
