red fin boards

Aloha. Does anyone know how to get in touch with Hynson & Company Surfboards? I’ve searched the web and can’t find any way to contact them. I’m interested in a red fin model. Has anyone seen or surfed the red fin model that G&S is putting out? What are the differences of a red fin from Hynson and one from G&S? Mahalo.

I know at one point, Joel Tudor Surfboards had a Hynson model, exactly which one Im not sure of. But I did see it for myself. You may want to try asking them if they can set u up with one. FD

Try Superior Glassing (619)297-5569 where my Hynson was glassed. Or try Skip Frye (or his wife) at his shop in San Diego (619)688-9886. I haven’t ridden his Red Fin or G&S’s but I’m told that the G&S model was made after G&S found the older rocker templates and such in their shop - if so it sounds right on. See my Knife longboard in the 10’ Boards section. If you can’t tell, I like Mike’s stringer set up and red fins with my volan.

Go to their website and look it over. The only thing better is if Phil Edwards would make a few more of his shapes . . . but he’s done. Tom
