What does it take to register a trademark ? Thanks DR

First make sure no one has beat you to it… a thorough search might be provided by your friendly local attorney (he/she will charge you for it) or you can do it yourself.

There are websites that will do it or see the .gov link below. There is a process and fee involved in registering your name or trademark once you’ve established that it’s not already taken. Once registered, you must protect it.

Please consult a legal professional.

This government website spells out some of the details. Beware of bogus websites that may be “harvesting” unused tradenames or URLs. I.E. you plug in your name in the “search” blank and if they like it, they might take it and run with it.
