RELIEF CUTS

When i glass are you supposed to do relief cuts. I tryed a board with out them and the risen bunched up in some spots on the lap. Then i did a board with them about every 8 inches and the corners of them wouldn’t get saturated with resin so it left me with dry spots. Are you supposed to use them or is there any wat to avoid getting them. If so where and how far apart. I make shortboards under 6’5".

For a pointy nosed, rounded squash tailed shortboard, only one cut on the nose, one on each corner of the tail…period.
