I've been meaning to repair this ding for a while but I really don't nowhere to begin. A rather large pressure dent looks like it caused a crack near the stringer. Please help me out here..thanks.
cut away the bad foam and glass. apply filler, sand off excess, glass, hotcoat, sand again, then surf it. Make sure it is dry though.
I’d clean up the wax around it first. Then, sand the area around the ding. Tape off the area around the ding. Then fill and glass over the fill. Cut the tape off when the resin begins to jell. Sand it smooth after the resin hardens. If I had a little white pigment I’d put that in my resin, too, for the fill. Don’t forget to catalyze it. Mike
