I’m looking to shape a 6’8 fish for my first board. If I was to deglass an old board and reshape it what kind of board would I need to have? Would a longboard work, or would I need to get a board with a similar rocker to the board I want to make?
just look at the rockers of other boards and see if the rocker you want (along with the thickness) will fit. bear in mind that de-glassing a board will take almost a centimetre out of the thickeness.
are you sure just buying a blank wouldn’t be as cheap? (glass, resin and fin boxes are the most expensive things, for me anyway)
