I need your help guys!
I´m making a crazy experiment on my shortboard rails and just wondering if someone has any advice to help me fine tune my new rails.
My 6'4'' thurster round tail that is lacking respondiveness, kind of slow....I just realised that I shaped the rails too low and it has too much tuck under. So I decided to reshape the rails, try to make it fuller to avoid the water going on the deck, and also change the tuck under, make it less tuck.(get more response)
My first idea was use pu spray foam and then glass it again....Couldn buy it so I decided to use Sawdust and wood glue even though I have no ideia what i´m doing. :)
I put some sawdust and glue mix on bottom part of the rail and also the deck part of the rail. To make the rails a litle bit fuller and a harder edge under. When the thing got dry I reshaped the rails using the suform...When shaping the deck part of the rail, I just left an edge, making it kind of square. Should I round it as usual ? What would be the efect of leaving this hard edge on the top of the rail?
really thanxxx for any help
