Can anyone tell me the optimum resin/catalyst proportions for double glasssing. It always seems to be too quick or too slow, never just right!!
It all depends upon the conditions (temperature, humidity) you glass in. For longer gel times, I set it for a light load (one percent). For hot coating, I set it at two percent. There is no formula. Keep a chart of gel time, temperature for comparison and future reference. The main skill I have learned is to be quick and efficient. Use smaller batches of resin to lengthen the working time. The chart below from Fiberglass Supply shows the correct proportions. http://www.fiberglasssupply.com/pdf/miscellaneous/MEKPChart.pdf Anthony>>> Can anyone tell me the optimum resin/catalyst proportions for double > glasssing.
