Can I use catalyst for the darker colors (of course) and plain UV resin for the lighter colors? Some of the UV resin will hit the catalyst colors.
I put catalyst in my uv resin whenever I add pigment no matter how dark or light. Just a little bit to make your all the resin kicks, but not enough to worry about the resin going off while laminating. Mike
I use just a little bit of catalyst “to make sure” in pigmented UV resin, maybe 0.25 percent when if non-UV, I’d have been using 0.8 percent for a lam. Tints seem to be okay without it. A little extra time in direct sun helps.
