Resin Tinting pigment

Im curently making a longboard right now and didnt want to paint the foam. I have some white pigment I use for leash cups. If I use other colors in the laminating process will it turn out solid or opaque? Should I use the pigment in both the laminating and hot coat? Thanks for the help. Klein

Use your whit pigment to make the color more opaque if you don’t use it, it will come out more like a tint… mark

Thanks Mark I have one more question. Ive seen breifely in a video someone laying up a long board. He was using the pigment in his resin, but he was only doing the rails. Is their a speciel way of doing this? Do I have to cut out a seperate sheet of clothe and lay it up on the rails. Thanks for all the help mark. if someone is pigmenting rails only, i’d suspect the pigmented resin is being brushed on as a surface coat, after laminating with clear resin. and inlaid pigmented rail lamination using cloth sounds like an awful lot of work.>>> Thanks Mark>>> I have one more question. Klein: Are the problem laps on boards that you have used any colored pens or paint on the foam? If so you may be seeing some bleed from the paint as you squeegee the lam. Make sure any art us fully dried and dust it off before you start your lam. TS > Thanks Mark>>> I have one more question. Ive seen breifely in a video someone laying up a > long board.
