Restoration question.

Hello all, My first post here (although I have just noticed ive been a member for 5years) I have a ron lonboard from the 60's which is rather tired! lots of dings all along the rails but the deck and the bottom of the board is pretty good. Im hoping to repair the dings and then spray just the rails to hide the dings and then gloss the board all over. What spray should I use and can i just sand the existing glass to key it up for the gloss, do I need to do this? cheers.

fix the rails....and light sand the area to spray and gloss....

spray some water based stuff....not much....the new gloss have to kiss the old sanded resin.

gloss just the rails....where you done the job....why gloss the entire board?

and......welll If you are fixing it to sell, ok, go and paint it.

But if you are going to keep the board, dont paint it....you will hide the dings and repairs and make it dificult to find find new ones and see where the water is getting in....if you know what i´m saying ...better a ugly healthy board than a shiny beautifull not healthy one...

sorry about the bad english

cheers
