Reusable Polishing Bonnets?

I’ve been using a “Round-Up” pad by Schlegel (1-1/2" pile) which was great on the first use but went downhill from there. It doesn’t seem tp shine 2nd and 3rd boards very well, even after cleaning between each board.I was recently told by someone that this bonnet is really only good for one application. Any truth to this?

I also just tried a Buff and Shine which I’ve really only used once but willo more than likely try a couple more times (after cleaning).

Which leads to a question: is there a reusable polishing bonnet? Any suggestions?

You might want to have a look at the 3M Hookit compounding/polishing system ; I have been reasonably happy with mine - now, lets see if that link worked - okay, good… they don’t exactly give the things away, mind you, but 3M has a whole family of pads, discs and the like that’ll work with it. Including, though I haven’t tried 'em, sanding discs.
