Rhino Crash Course Needed

Would someone care to give me a crash course in Rhino? I have exported a DXF file from BoardCAD and imported this file into Rhino with no issues. Is there now some simple way to convert the mesh back to beziers? I can see some funny bits in Rhino that do not show in Shape3D but there doesn’t seem to be any way to edit/play with the file once it’s exported and into Rhino. Can anyone assist?

Damn it, i was hoping for a Rhino Chaser design course…

I thought he misspelled Rhyno Foam.

The last time I heard, Dr. Ryan No was a dentist in Carlsbad…He’s never been an exporter? he’s a bit quirky, like all dentists, but he has never had any funny bits? Unless you take into consideration the time when he came into the dentist office with his pants around his ankle…that was a funny bit.

We’re a shitload of help, aren’t we? I think I drank too many beziers anyway…

No elephant guns around 'ere. Think I sussed my problem anyway.

Dean,

Hope this helps

Surface splines leaves you with an editable file. Rhino converts the file into surfaces that can be edited separately. I’m a beginner at that stuff, but if you want to check out flows in Rhino you can /analyze/surface/Zebra (or one of the other tools). You need to selet all the surfaces to analyse. The easiest way is to drag a box around the whole board and hit enter.

The logic in Rhino is a tad different to the surfboard shaping software. I’ve been struggling with it for a while and still can’t seem to get a decent depression cut for insetting veneers, and other twiddley things I want to do.

PS Look closely at the nose and tail. The surfbaord software tends to have too many surfaces joining in those areas, and the results in CAM can be interesting peaks and things that you can edit out in Rhino (my CAM guru does this for me because I’m too slow).

Oops - missed your last past.
