any chance Howard has pics of Greenough kicking into the waves? It’d be interesting to see how far back his body is off the mat while trying to catch the wave. (and if possible, see how/when he pulls up into position on the mat)
if you stick crystal voyager dvd into the computer you can watch it just fine
the only problem is the chair isnt as comfortable as the chesterfield or the divan this damnable hard upright is a toil.

I’ve been riding my “Project Velo” board at Rincon and I usually bellyboard my last wave in thru first point and the cove. Very mat-like. bending and twisting the board even in the prone position.
“the Path less travelled” – that’s the Panama Tourism Board’s slogan. Coincidence? Hmmm? G - you gotta get a mat to round out yr flexible surfcraft quiver.
I’ll be on Kauai april 6-13. Certainly I will try a mat. Howabout a cookout on that weekend, Sat the 8th or Sun the 9th work better? 2nd annual Sways Kauai…
I’m kind of hijacking this thread even though it is mat related, but does any one know anything about those Leader fins that have been advertised here? They look like some serious equipment that might be good for matting. The price is not cheap though. The blades are made of fiberglas and on some of the models they foil the thickness of the blade for more flex. Interesting stuff.
Looks as though everyone here is waiting for a mat from dale, including me. Hope we aren't making him work too hard.
You can do all kinds of cutbacks and direction changes by squeezing the mat and leaning over and rolling on top of it.When you’re done with your turn you let it go.
no leg drag necessary, just squeezing the rails to change air pressure, and body lean, similar to bodysurfing. the leg drag only helps to hold in high and tight or to slow yourself down.
