Is there too much tail flip on the first one? I don’t want this to be a “ledgy surf” only board…need this to work on all kinds of conditions not just sucking pocket waves…so the tail rocker concerns me.
I surf front footed so I figured the low entry rocker in the front with a little bit more rocker in the tail would be a good counter balance. (6’5" X 19" X 2 1/2")
The second board down I completely hated and it was not loose for me at all (squash tail: 6’6" X 18 3/4 X 2 3/8)…any ideas why this board sucked for me?
the bottom one would push more water and would need a faster and more powerfull wave to get you going…the top one looks good…what blank are you using? try to get a blank that has the rocker in it that is close to what want. what are your rails like? how thick? how wide is the board?
The top one’s rails are 2 1/2" pretty much medium all the way through (IE: not really pinched or super full either)
You don’t think the tail rocker is too much in the top one for surfing weaker waves?
Width across is 19" and the nose and tail are about average in proportion (no super pulled tail or anything)
The bottom one which I Hated had a pretty full/wide squash tail…and some crazy concave stuff going on the bottom, single in the front to big double concave in the back/tail
The second one looks like too much entry rocker and would be better for powerfull bowling type of waves. The first one looks fine. Tail rocker shouldnt be too much of a problem but it depends on what you want and how you want to surf.
