Rolled bottom egg tri-fin

Picked up my friends girlfriends 1980’s egg from deep in the garage last weekend. I don’t remember the logo but it had a rolled bottom ,thin egg 50/50 rails 7’2" x 17" x 21" x 15" with  standard glass on tri fins.Beat to hell but still surfable.  I was riding it in soft ,walled beachbreak. It seemed to have as much speed down the line as a downrail ,flat bottom board. I wish I can say how it cutback but the waves were too walled to do so.

You see alot of Hull single-fin talk on this forum, but how about tri-fin ,or quad hull boards?

Post up some pics - let us see it!

Excuse me for the question, but does “rolled” mean the same like “hull” bottom ? Or where are the diferences?

Thank you!

  • ekim, can you describe where the roll starts, finishes etc? I have a 6'6'' egg i need to finish, that is from a thick blank, and im thinking of trying to "hullify" the bottom. Cheers

From what I remember it was just rolled out on the rails and tail. Kind of like a Liddle but less extreme. I’ll get a picture next time I go to my friends house. Thanks for the interest.

Thanks mate
