The boards, the styles of > surfing, the music, the scenery. Yeah! It’s great surfers are still getting something from Innermost Limits. What’s interesting is that when it came out, it was already out of date because surfing was changing faster than anyone could shoot, edit and release a film. Now, Innermost Limits is a valid documentary of the late 60’s, because when it was released is no longer relevant. My favorite shot is the whitewater wave that turns square in the first part of The Coming Of The Dawn, with the camera looking back at his track. That, plus the empty lines coming in at Broken Head after McT. gets his “haircut.”
