Orlando has lots of cyclist. That is one of the bigger buyers of these racks.
I know tuel(sp?) and yakama (sp?) are both big for cyclist.

This is what I use for everything up to and including 16’ pieces of 2"x12" wet, green, fresh outta the sawmill pine, stacked :
Use the nice, heavy duty ones with metal fasteners like these. Works far better and safer than bungees or the rubber stretch items with the ‘S’ hooks ( 'cos you can never tell when those are about to break) . The load is spread out over the width of the strap , so that it’s a bit harder to crush a rail when you really lay into the straps to tighten 'em up. The strap itself is good for around 1000 lbs working load, ok? That is WAY more strength than you’ll ever need.
Just run them under the rack, over the board, under the rack, over the board. Run the strap end through the cam buckle and tighten it up good. Do the same on both racks, one strap per rack - the thing is, these are strong enough that if you try using one strap for both racks you can literally drag the racks together. . Do Not even THINK about wrapping the strap around the rack a few times to ‘make it hold better’ - it won’t and your boards will slip off, and that’s exactly when there will be six semis tailgating you. I have seen a number of idiots try that, with boards and with lumber and other stuff - wrapping it around and around the rack only makes it absolutely certain that you won’t be able to tighten 'em up completely and whatever you thought you had strapped on there Will Slide Out. Remember, under the rack, over the board, under the rack, over the board, tighten the strap. Keep It Simple. Works great every time.
