What is the correct router bit to use to install a 10.5" finbox into a longboard. The box is 1" wide. Any tips on making a jig? Should you put duct tape all around the bottom so you can grind off the tabs? Thanks, Damon
the bit i use is a little more expensive, but easier to setup. it is a template bit that has a small ball bearing at the top. i believe it is a 1/2" bit. make a template out of 1/2" plywood, or anything a 1/2". i make the template so that it is an 1/8" bigger on all sides. i duct tape the plywood tightly to the board before i am ready to route out the box. route out, then finish installing…good luck
