I’ve only seen small tidbits of Russ Takaki, but did have the honor of meeting him at the McDonalds across the street from Waikiki Beach about 10 yrs ago. Sorry to hear of his passing.
Howzit gb, Russ was one of the Haaiians who came to Ca in the late 40's or early 50's with a couple of other guys from Hawaii. His picture has been on Sways a few times in the past and I am trying to remember who he came over withsince I know that one of the guys was a Haole who is a famous old guy surfer,maybe George Downing.
