hi everyone… does anyone know of where to buy stand up paddle blanks in the santa cruz area… or close bye… thanks
Segway Composits. Not that close to you, but a great product.
Yes, Ken at Segway provides great service and has an unprecedented selection of EPS specialty Paddleboard blanks. If you download the shaping program from his website you can design and he can cut a roughed out pre-shape. You avoid having to shape a rectangular blank with squared rails.
A tip: Check Pau Hana Surf Supply. They carry his blanks and can coordinate a shipping deal to a local Fastenal Store. Last I checked it seemed quite reasonable.
call Home Blown there very easy to shape and glass light.
Segway to Fastenal in SC worked out great for me a couple of months ago…
hi everyone. thanks for the “bueno” knowledge about s. u. p. blanks… i need at least 31 inches wide… these people you recommended are all around 28 inches wide… any more help will be greatly appreciated… thanks sadony
Call Ken at Segway, I’m sure he can make any size blank you want.
Hi Sadony, not EPS but PU: this is what I scored two days ago:
It’s a Burford 10’8" x 32" x (almost) 5". My retailer (VIRAL) said that at the time it is the only one in Europe!!! Made from an old windsurf blank, it seems, with four 2 1/2" wideners glued in.
Talk about a beast…
You scored. Nice foil. Looks like a pre-shape.
Burford is great foam! I shped a coupld shortbards about a year ago their still holding up really well. I’m fast realizing all the aussie foam formulas are really good!
