San Diego Leap Year Last Minute Get Together

Well, since it’s Leap Year and we have an extra day in 2008, I figured that maybe some of you guys would like to waste a day shaping, glassing, fins, talking story, and of course consuming mass quantities of the usual food & beverages. I’ll provide some hot dogs and some drinks - but if you guys want to bring chips/soda/other stuff to BBQ that’s cool too. If you RSVP here thats fine but not absolutely necessary…

THIS SUNDAY MARCH 30

THE USUAL TIME (10-4 or whatever)

THE USUAL PLACE (in San Diego, if you need directions PM me)

Bring your projects, new boards, etc. I’m going to install some ProBox boxes, have a board ready to glass, maybe do some glass-on fins too… Who knows what might happen?

See ya,

Might just swing by for a bit!

= )

Cool, hope to see you there. I’ve had some PM RSVPs already so we’ll definitely be out back making a mess and firing up the BBQ…

Thanks Keith, see you there. I don’t have any projects at the moment, but I’ll be there…

Received permission from the Boss to show up – hopefully resinhead will be teaching a class on semi-gun rails ;>)

sounds good - glad the Boss cut you loose for the day…we have a bit of swell running (3-5) so you might want to chuck a wetsuit in your car too…

Keith,

Thanks for opening your shopspace to all of us, it was a great time. Hopefully someone will post some photos.

Here it goes: my first Sways post.

It was a great time at Keith’s house for the board building frenzy. There were so many projects going on ( I think about 6). It was very cool to see the different build phases every time I turned around. I was trying to soak up as much knowledge as I could.

Thanks for having me over. Look forward to surfing with you guys in the future. Big time motivation to get my Alaia finished especially before the baby comes.

I’VE GOT THE PHOTOS: check Photobucket under: surfdoc2008

I am limited on time right now so feel free

to inline images here if you’ve got the technique dialed.

Live Well / Surf A lot!

It was tons of fun and way educational. resinhead was kind enough to teach his patented course: “Semi-guns: Bottoms and Rails in Theory and Practice” to a rapt audience:

I’m trying to think of the right beers to buy him as thanks…New Belgium 1554 maybe?

No worries, I had fun too.

And about the beer…I think I drank everybodys when they weren’t looking. So no need, just put it in the general fund of Lord Keith’s next get together.

Herbie the Love Board

Keith,

Alot of nice work there for one Sunday…

Seeing how I could just about hear and smell it all on the East Coast, you must have awfully kool neighbors…

They must surf…or be really old…

“Honey, what’s that weird smell?”

“Geez Dear, I thought it was you…”

Looks like a fun day…would like to see a snap of that 5 fin blue board all done
