sanding down stringer at the end on a swallow tail

I’m trying to figure out how everyone gets their stringer at the end by the swallow tail so sanded down so it’s curved down to the bottom with out hacking at the surrounding foam on the tail. What is the best tool or procedure? thanks

I’ve used a wood carver’s V gouge.

hey man

i used a thing like this…

4 mm wide… and it did the trick… it was my first… so maybe some better ways to do it…

try getting your foam as close as you can to shape and then use masking tape to protect it and go to town on the stringer with something abrasive.
