Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my last two boards. It seems that the sanding resin im using from Fiberglass of Hawaii is lacking enough wax. I was wondering if anyone else has had/is having trouble with thier sanding resin? I end up chunking through a pack of sandpaper, then re-hotcoating (lightly)with extra surfacing agent, then it is fine, but since this is the second time this has happened, it is getting to be a bit frustrating, any help is appreciated aloha
You should mix it yourself. By straight lam resin and some wax solution. That way you can mix up just what you need, and you can ensure a good ratio. (it’s easy to do). With the pre-mixed stuff you never really know what kind of mixture you are going to have. Do it yourself, it’s way mo bettah.
Hey Mike, Where have you been? Havent seen you for a long time~… Regards, Crabie
I have just been peeping in and trying to contribute when possible. This is a great site with newcomers & the old crew providing all kinds of good information. I’m just trying to learn what I can. I’m still hanging in there. Much success to you in Hong Kong, mike d.
