Was using DAP for years thinned with bottled drinking water, and seen some 10+ year old boards of mine…still pretty white! The Sherwin Williams is now the go to spackle. I screen them down and finish with a fine drywall sponge block…comes out like a eggshell. They all get the spak whether I paint them or not.
