I got given this bag , you see
…the guy told me it was lawn clippings , and to "hold onto it for me for a little while , I’ll come and collect it later , when things “cool down” a bit . "
well, the strange thing about that is …
a] it didn’t feel hot
b] it looked kinda like tomato plants ?
c] but …there weren’t any tomatoes on there … well , I guess the guy must have got hungry ?
d] this all happened a MONTH ago …and the guy hasn’t come back yet.
So , I just took the bag down the beach one day .
…Quickest I’VE ever seen a plastic bag full of someone’s garden disappear !
Some guy with sleepy eyes even offered me a buck for it . Least , I THINK that’s what he was saying …

CMC is right. why bother weighing 4 oz covered pu boards. But for composite board makers it is a great tool for acheiving goal end weights/strength and for diagnosing boards taking on water. Today I was able to make a 6 footer egg, 5lb 4oz become a 5lb 1 oz board just by sufficient sanding. Who really cares though?
It’s challenging to see what you are starting with in weight with the shaped foam core, then lightening that, adding more materials, weighing it, add more, take some off until the finished product. Light, durable composite that may or may not bark/howl. My latest dog of a composite I named “ginger”. Now this dog didn’t bark, didn’t bite either. GINGER SNAPPED…off the lip that is ,and not snapped in half like the 4 oz wrapped pu disposable.
The problem now is my long boards are getting lighter and they seem to be morphing on the deck right before my eyes. A shortboard just trying to bust out I think
