scrambled egg - help (sk, etc.)

i’ve only attempted one egg board before, and it didnt work. …now my friend would like me to make him one. so, before i go and take his money to ruin another board, i thought i would run it by people who know how to do it right. he wants a 6’10, but the other dimensions are up to me. i was thinking 16.75" nose, 21.5" wide (widepoint up 2" from center), 14.5" tail, 2.75-3" thick, 3.5" nose rocker and 3" tail rocker, with hard down rails in tail to a tucked edge in the middle, to a soft rail at the nose. round tail, beak nose, and single fin of course. i was thinking flat bottom with a slight roll in the tail. saying i do everything as i said, should this work? what should i change/do to make it better. thanks a bunch! STEVE

Steve, Here are a few suggestion’s to get started with. Starting with blank selection, a 7’3"E or 7’11"R would fit the dimensions that you have listed with the 7’11"R being closest as far as thickness that you have (2.75-3.0) listed. The dimensions you have listed look fine and of course are what you like best. As far as rocker is concerned the 3" of tail rocker is too extreme, and when you combine this with a rolled bottom would create Quite a bit of drag (no good). Something in the area of 2.15 to 2.7 is a better choice I think. The rest is up to you, Have fun, sk
