Screw Fiberglass Hawaii!

The conections I have made as a result of this thread have been helpful. I will be in contact. I was in Fiberglass Hawaii Maui (4/15 sat.). They had NO blanks no "tacky, no “soft pads” and no batteries for my electric scissors. I went over to Home Depot afterwards and bought a gallon of acetone and some Norton 100 grit.

There is a 40’ container on its way to Trevor Moore and Pono of Hawaii Foam (Clark’s x distributor) leaving the US in one week. From then on they should be well stocked on a regular basis. Contact them for some blanks. Trevor’s # is 808.372.0156

Aloha,

Fiberglass hawaii (oahu) has made some changes. I have an account with them…and before closing of Clark, I use to get everything at wholesale price plus 1/2% tax. Now, I only receive wholesale price on large qty of resin and fiberglass material. I have been using other online companies and using “ShiptoHawaii” for delivery.

ShiptoHawaii now sends items to outer islands…try them, its a real cheap way to get things here to the islands.

Also, long time employee Gigi has left FGH…she was the bomb! Gigi would give wholesale price to people who did not have resale license. Keep the faith!

Howzit manoa, Did you have a resale license? That’a a shame GiGi left because she had a lot of knowledge about the products F.H had and she also was nice to work with on orders. Just get a license and you’ll get the 1/2 % tax break on all materials that are in the finished board. No tax break on other things like tape, razor blades etc since they aren’t part of the finished board. At least Dutch is still there and he’s very good to deal with also.Aloha,Kokua

aloha kokua,

how’s things over on the garden isle?

sorry slow response…getting ready for the baby.

I do have a resale lic. I should have mentioned that Gigi would give everything at wholesale price to me. I guess…I was spoiled. Thats ok

mahalo kokua!

Howzit Manoa, With a resale license you get all materials at whole sale price from F.H.. And any materials such as resin, glass, paint etc that ends up being part of the finished board you only pay 1/2% excise tax. But things like tape acetone, sandpaper ,etc you pay 4% tax on. GiGi was great and they had another girl who worked for them named Gail I think who left a couple of years ago who was also very good and would always inform me of any deals or things on sale when I made an order. Aloha,Kokua

there are ALOT of people that need to be taken care of blank wise…and most of the people here can understand how frustrating it can be trying to get a blank…most of us ARE small time guys. FH has ALOT of business, and alot of people to deal with…its not like they are doing it to spite you.

it sucks. everyone understands that, but everyone has to roll with it.

beleive it or not, 200 blanks wont go very far with such a large demand…especially trying to make that last for a month or more.

we couldnt even keep our Benett Dion blanks for a week at FHSB, and we still had blanks from the last shipment left over.

Howzit surferguy, Don't know why Maui is having a blank shortage, here on Kauai we have plenty of blanks. I seen Walkers, Elova, Midgets blanks and Bennett's and they are all nice blanks and the shapers are happy with them.Aloha,Kokua

We first got a shipment of Elova, which we still have alot of (they are a hard sell, i think because of the overall quality of the ones we got). Recently we got the Benetts, which are now nearly gone. We may be sending many of our remaining Elova blanks to the Maui store to help out, but its not for sure yet.
