We found a Rocket fish looking board over in San Jose. Its a Seagull 6’6" with the name Holly written on the stringer. Twin keel fins,70’s color job-we’ll ride it after we deal with the dings.i would guess its from about '75 or so- anyone know anyhting about it? i think seagull was a San Diego area factory buti could be wrong.

I saw some boards in longboard magazine by a guy named John Holly.I think he is up in Oregon or washington you might try a search on him…R.B.
Should have a hand drawn seagull looking logo, at first glance kind of like Skip Frye’s wings. John Holly shapes were real common in the Leucadia/Encinitas area. I bet if you called up Encinitas Surfshop/Surfboards John Kies could tell you something about it. I don’t think JH is down there shaping anymore as Cleanlines mentions. John Holly was shaping in the Point Loma area in the 70’s during the fish evolution. His true calling were single fin diamond tail semi guns with impeccable foiling. He had a shop near Sunset Cliffs. Last I saw of him was about 10 or 15 years ago in O.B. His logo is a seagull comming in for a landing. They were the board of choice in the O.B./Cliffs area in the 70’s
