SEALed

the 5pm channel 10 news said swanbourne to trigg beaches were closed for three hours today [sunday] ,

as

" three  3.5 metre tiger sharks were spotted by the Wales [a bank here in oz] rescue helicopter , around 150 metres offshore ..."

  WELLL...

THAT would certainly explain why the large seal , that I saw at scarborough very early this morning , was  moving SOOOO FAAAASTTTTT , maaan !
I'm just glad that I wasn't SWIMMING with the 'Go Pro'  camera ,  today ! [ I had it down the back of my wetsuit , as I was surfing the 9'4 again]

Any tips about using the GoPro ? I just got one ester day. Thanks.

hi brett

  mainly

1. with the fisheye lens ....  make sure your hands [and every OTHER body part ] are BEHIND the camera

2. get in close

3. everything looks smaller / further away in photos , than it actually WAS ...so , waves under head high [unless you are deep] look very average

4     most importantly...

  have FUN !!!

and , USE it ...LOTS !!

shoot in "burst" mode , and you will have HEAPS of shots to choose from .  Or , FILMING mode.

[oh yeah , it doesn't hurt to also spit on the lens from time to time , dip in water , take photo immediately . This helps avoid water droplets wrecking your shots]

 cheers !
