What weight flat weave are you using?
when I use flat weave it’s 6oz volan.
I have yards of “strange” cloths which were specially fabricated for differing projects. Just understanding the thread counts is challenging let alone twisted or flat, and the finishes and its compatibilities, but hey someone had to do it…
If your still around: what sealant for a PU blank do you recommend before I spray gun tint and then epoxy laminate.

Hi Chris, thanks for reaching out. Sorry for the late reply, I haven’t been regularly on Sways for a while.
Seeing as you are glassing with epoxy then you may as well use epoxy for the slurry to seal the blank. Microballoons or Qcell, with a little cabosil to make the mix go on a little smoother.
I don’t know your experience so if you need more info on how to do this please let me know.

Sealing a Poly blank isn’t worth the effort and time.
