or has anyone else here not been able to 'search' for old threads here, any more ? [there is no 'box' to type a subject into , like there used to be ...at least , not on my computer ].
also , when clicking on 'props' to compliment / encourage someone , nothing seems to happen ?
I use the workaround, with yahoo advanced search, and limit the search to www.swaylocks.com or www2.swaylocks.com
The site owner Mike Paler is aware that there are issues with the site ever since the crash some time back, and is working toward a solution. We'll just have to be patient, and deal with the site "as-is", until then.

Our server was hit with the flu about 2 weeks ago and hasn't been the same since. I am in discussions with some people regarding upgrading our system. It may be a while, but it's in the works. Until then, you'll just have to deal with the speedbumps. Sorry for the inconvenience.
while looking at this thread , THIS comes on my screen ??? " Warning: MySQL server has gone away query: INSERT INTO watchdog (uid, type, message, severity, link, location, referer, hostname, timestamp) VALUES (1025428, 'php', 'MySQL server has gone away\nquery: SELECT data, created, headers, expire FROM cache_filter WHERE cid = '5:75875e0563bce43c3f62704044af9c58' in /var/www/vhosts/swaylocks.com/httpdocs/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 174.', 2, '', 'http://www.swaylocks.com/forums/search-and-props-gone', '', '101.112.114.60', 1361006228) in /var/www/vhosts/swaylocks.com/httpdocs/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 174 "
About “props”. Since the crash, the odd thing is that I can see props in other people’s profiles, but that particular list is not on my own profile. Also, I just logged and got redirected to a page that doesn’t normally appear after login. Screen shot to follow.
Yep, lot’s of wierdness going on…every single image I’ve uploaded to swaylocks is now gone! I’m sure I’m not the only one…this has probably broken many threads.

You can actually use google to search:
http://www.google.nl/advanced_search?hl=en
and then fill in the blanks accordingly, the last one where it says "domain" you enter swaylocks.com and google's your pal.

I mostly use Google to search swaylocks - just append "site:swaylocks.com" to the end of your Google search
ie: "then I ate pizza" site:swaylocks.com
or: applying rice paper site:swaylocks.com

yah, seems like the search function is down at the moment... i'm sure it will be up again soon tho...
regarding Google, if you forget, you can just click "advanced search" on the right of the search field and it will allow you to do all kinds of special search functions including searching only specific websites ie. Swaylocks.
