Sebastian Inlet Boards?

Sebastian Inlet Boards. My first board back in 1990 was a “Sebastian Inlet” – anyone know who really made these boards? I had a 6’2" – it was pretty hot for its day. Shine

Shine, that would be me, I still have a round pin Sebastian Inlet template, that I use to re-d0 those 70’S shapes with. Mike Mann was working at Shagg’s and added the Sebastian Inlet logo to things that he could sell.

hey, I used to have a board that was a 6-10 rounded pin red tinted resin bottom and rails with a blue pinline that seperated the white foam from the red tinted resin…the board said sebastian surfboards on the bottom and on the deck it had a bird with one of the eyes that move glassed into it…no leash plug…box fin…the board went to the big point break in the sky…it burned up along with 4 other surfboards in a house fire…just wondered if anyone knew about that board

Here’s to you Jim – I went through several boards after that – never really found a board that had the same solid range of performance.

I have one too. One of my favorite 70’s boards. swallow tail with wings, offset glue up lines, white semi-opaque resin on deck and rails with one of the most intricate 3 color resin pin line jobs I have ever seen. Entire bottom airbrushed wave scene by Henry Lund. Shaped by Jim Philips. Jim I think I told you about this board before on 2nd light. Very Mint condition.

I just took some pictures and submitted them to the resources. Hopefully they will be up soon.
