Second Board with project

Hey there…

This is my first post in sway’s but I read it for a long time now.

First, sorry for my bad english, now, let’s post some pics:

(above) This is the complete file of the measurements and fin position. Accually the bottom design isn’t right, just because I don’t know how to put single concave in AkuShaper.

(above) This is the logo, I printed a few with red, blue, green and orange background with the words in white, and also 2 logos with white background and black words. I think that it’s pretty sick. Oh, and I found this font in www.dafont.com , it’s always nice to search and find things like these one

This board will be for a friend of mine… The bottom will have a really deep single concave.

The material I’m gonna use it’s XPS, for a first try. I will post the profile of the surfboard in a cardboard piece and cut the blank with hot wire, just to have the rocker. Then I will cut it in half and put a normal wood stringer in the middle…

This board is inspired in the CI’s dumpster diver. The measurements are the same, and also the bottom shape, but the outline it’s a bit different, just beacause I want to try it this way.

Any opinions?

Great to see that you’re making your own blank. I like projects without any prefab stuff. It would be great if you post pictures of every step. I did it for my first board and before that I read many threads like that. I think first time board builders learn a lot from those kind of threads cause they can read (and see) about the same problems they’re facing.

About the shape. I think it looks good. I would put a little less rocker in the back, but that would be because of the kind of waves I usually surf (crappy weak mushy waves, so flatness is my friend)

Keep on posting!

yes, I was ready to write you off, Great you make your own blank, good start.

Thought your were going to be another thumb drive shaper, you know, a stinking middle man that does F all and sells (cheap?) boards and F@#K’S things up for those who do it for a living…

I have a question for you. Answer if you wish, as it really IS none of my business.

What do you do for your real jod?

…Yeah I am in a bad mood!!!

I suppose you are asking me what’s my current JOB … I’m currently working half-time at a polyester factory, we do all tipe of transformations: car bumpers, huge statues for advertising activities. Anything that might be useful to someone, but done in polyester and foam.

Unfortunately
haven’t had time to begin the project, but made some changes in shape,
from a ghost board, copied from the site of CI

Don’t worry about the fact that I could someday sell the board. Doing so is certainly for a friend, never commercially

I add a little bit foam in the tail, and reduce the nose rocker, I’m preety sure that this is really close to the original board, and I hope that it rides like so

Good shapes
