Some posts state that it would be wiser to piant on the sanded lam instead of on the hotcoat to avoid sand through, while others insist not to do this because of bonding issues? Im ready to glass and would just like a clarification. From what ive read the “sequence” is roughly lam, sand, lam deck, sand , paint (or not), hotcoat, sand. I don’t really want to gloss this board. Thanks any help is greatly appreciated and sorry about the noob question. Thanks Dave
Dave,
I don’t know about painting on the lam. If you are not going to gloss it, then just paint the sanded hotcoat. Use acrylic. No problems. Mike
