Hey fellas,
Whats the general consensus on Top shelves? Are they to reduce glare for comforts sake, or as Barry suggests do they serve a true purpose (other than being useful for storage) of directing light towards the blank?

I use LED’s and they are a little annoying without some sort of ‘cover’ to help with the secondary glare.
Fluoro’s are even less directional so the box helps send more light towards the board.
Barry’s setup is just plain awesome!

Those lights look awesome, what did you use for stands?

In the basement they were hung from the wall and ceiling joists.
In the garage they are on roller stands, the same ones used to infeed and outfeed long boards on table saws, etc. with the roller removed
