shaping/glassing room

i have a little barn (about 15’x20’) that i am going to start shaping/glassing in. does anyone have any suggestions to what and how i should do this??? should i split it into two rooms; one for shaping and the other for glassing. does anybody shape and glass in the same room??? any suggestions on how anyone here would or has done it would help me out a great deal. thanks in advance. Josh

Josh: Before I framed up two spaces, added wiring, AC/heat etc. I used plastic. I made some panels out of 1x2x8 and stapled black plastic on them. It worked fine and was quick and cheap. The glassing bay at one point had two walls of $3.99 poly tarps stapled from the ceiling along a 2x4 I screwed up to the ceiling. Had to keep the airflow down some how. You can do it all in the same room and just manage how you store your supplies and tools to keep the dust contamination down. Lots of guys here do in garage bays. Just concentrate on making it easy to sweep out and keep the dust buildup down. > i have a little barn (about 15’x20’) that i am going to start > shaping/glassing in. does anyone have any suggestions to what and how i > should do this??? should i split it into two rooms; one for shaping and > the other for glassing. does anybody shape and glass in the same room??? > any suggestions on how anyone here would or has done it would help me out > a great deal. thanks in advance. Josh: You’ll be fine either way. Personally I would try to sqeeze out two separate bays. It is nice to be shaping one inute, not have to move anything around and tehn go to he galssing bay and work on another project. I typically need more room in my shaping bay, not much more, that my glassing bay. What I am realy saying is that I am more of a shaper and would prefer more room in my shaping bay…To eavh there own, you’re head of many others by having that much space. Luck. SD Steve
