Hey everyone who has to shape and glass in the same room like me: Maybe I’m coming to the party late, but I came up with a simple attachment for shaping stands so shaping and glassing can be done with basically with the same stands, in one spot.
My stands are steel with a curvey top, but a similar attachment could be made for different types of shaping stands.
One nice feature is that after the board is shaped, I can lift up one end and slip the attachment under it with the other hand. Then everything gets tightened up with one large wingnut. It’s eeesy braddah.
Materials were cheap, and it was not hard to make. Basic construction, not lacquered, but it works great.
