Last year I purchased a number of shaping tools (Hitachi/Clark Planer, dragon skin, block planes, surforms…) with hopes of shaping a few boards in my garage…well one kid, way too much work and overall no time to shape now or in the foreseable future I have decided to sell these unused tools. Is anyone on this board interested or should I just sell through eBay? I could post pics if need be. If interested post here or just e-mail me: Thanks, Tim
What do you want fot the hitachi planer?$$
How much for the Dust Chute [wink]
Keep your stuff. At some point you’ll have the time and wish you had your tools. You’ll have to shape your kid a board at some point! aloha, TW

…Tom,has a point there.I stopped for a couple years here, and a couple years there. Not so much to quit, but to move on into others aspects of my life,school,career,skateboarding,martialarts,govt.time,etc.I kept my tools knowing in time I would be back, bigger and badder than before, and you know what…I did…everytime, and glad I didn’t sell my tools! …It’s your choice of course.WORTH? LIKE $300.00???I can always use the dragon skin.Good luck in whatever your decision is Tim.Herb
As soon as you sell tools such as your power plane , your going to need it to trim down a door for your girl friend. They are harder to replace than you think. Save them.
Tom, You came to the wrong place to try selling something. These guys are more concerned with your needs than you are! HOW MUCH FOR THE HITACHI PLANER?trev
Although I am concerned with your needs… I’m also interested in the planer (and the weight bag too) - how much and Are you on the EC now or west? Thanks, EJ
You guys sound like a bunch of vultures (sp?). Tim: keep your tools, I had a 5 year layoff. When I decided to shape again all my stuff was there. If I’d sold it I may have given up. all aloha, tw
Put everything in a big box. Seal it tight with tape. With a big thich black felt pen write “Shaping tools”. You will come back to use them, shaping is fun and there would be nothing grander for a to have his Dad shape him a board--------------that alone would be worth it.
… my words exactly!
Keep em.I retired from board building for twenty plus years and tossed everything including templates thinking that it was over.Well I got the bug again and beat myself for having gotten rid of the stuff…twenty years guys. The tools arent worth much so keep em. R.B.
