Shaun Tomson Board???

Can anybody help me, i’ve come across this Shaun Tomson board and i’m trying to gather as much info on it as possible. Google doesn’t feel like helping me so i’ve turned to forums to see if anyone out there can tell me about this board. It has nothing written on it except for the shaun tomson logo. It’s a single fin and looks quite early. It isn’t in the best shape but it’s got a nice design on it which I haven’t been able to find while googling. The design is a mirror image of itself from the front to the back.

I would appreciate if anyone could tell me:

What year it may have originated?

The name of the design?

The value of it?

If it’s a heap of junk I shouldn’t bother getting restored?

Thanks in advance!

Kat

I know the logo, it was used on Instinct surf clothing which was Shaun Tomson's label in South Africa during the 80s and 90s. http://instinctsurf.com or google Instinct
Possibly shaped in SA, possibly Durban. Spider Murphy shaped the "pink banana" board for Shaun on one of his early trips to the North Shore.
Otherwise not much help I am afraid.

Around 1977-78, would be my guess.

It’s a single fin round tail. Pretty typical for the time.

Not much. Fix it and ride it.

I do believe That Bill Barnsfield shaped some Shaun Tomson boards in Hawaii. There might have also been a few shaped and sold in Calif. But I have no idea who would have been working that deal. the coke cola swirl airbrush was pretty popular around 75-77.
