does anyone know about the shipping coat say if i want to send a board > from flordia to a friend in hawaii? Just use a shipping Tee shirt. Your friend will be way cooler. have fun

My guess is around 100 bucks. It’s expensive, and many companies won’t even do it, like UPS. Airlines will do it for about eighty bucks, but you have to take it to the airport, and then your friend will have to pick it up. Pack it well because the handlers won’t care. Call Delta, or even better, Hawaiian Airlines.

The fear for a board is the 100 miles between Kauai and Oahu on Hawaiian. Once on another air line your board is a lot safer. We have eye witnesses to board abuse. One time they lost my board for 92 hrs. That was during the time Hawaiian cargo handlers were ripping off baggage to the tune of $150,000.00 a year( Honolulu advertiser confirmed). I mean how does a board get lost for almost 4 days. My thinking is some employee took it and then discovered it wasn’t new and brought it back. Low and behold a 9’0" surfboard mysteriously reappears. If it had been lost for 4 more hours they would have had to replace it and the wetsuit and travel bag. Good luck,Kokua
