I would like to know what some estimated charges would be to safely ship a new 9’6" longboard from California to Florida? Any of you do this lately / regulary? Who’d you use for shipping? Thanks, Grant (the virgin shipper).

Thanks, Grant (the virgin > shipper). I got quoted about $100 from LA to Philly from malibu longboard.com - via air frieght through an airline. I would expect a little more for you. You cna also try UPS to a commercial address, it’s cheaper.
Grant: I would try a freight company, in other words a truck line like Yellow Freight etc. If it is coming from CA then start at that end and have ready specifics about the L-W-H of the box. Most trucking firms will pickup but you save if you take it to the terminal. Use a blank box and package with care, you might even consider putting the board in a cheap Daylite type bag inside the cardboard box. Most trucking lines have a minimum charge with their rates based on volume not weight. If you can get two or three boards in the same box it will cost you the same as one. A 10’6" blank box from Ventura,CA. to Texas cost me about $85.00-$95.00 with as many blanks as I can get in the box. If you are ordering from a manufacturer then they should have a relationship with a shipper who offers a discount, Clark passes on their discount to out of state buyers supposedly. (40%?) Don’t be surprised if a single board costs you $100.00 cross country.
