Shipping from the States to UK or Airline Option?

Hi All

i am in the process of trying to buy a 2nd hand board from a fellow Swaylocker - but im in the UK and he is in the states.

Anyone suggest the best way to get a board across the pond?

its only 6ft - but i know that shipping is done by volume - any ideas?

As a long shot - any one coming from NY to the UK in the next few weeks - fancy earning some $$$ for bringing it over? i would of course get it to you, pay for the airline shipping cost and some more for your time / effort.

thanks for any help on this…

as ever

Hi,

I’m facing the same problem to bring my longboards from the US to France. I fly with Continental and they have a 115 inches size limit for check-in baggages.

So, I have have been told that I have to deal with a freight forwader. Anybody knows a good compagny for that?

Keentolearn,

I got an interesting online quote with ups, you should try with your board.

Hi

MMM - tried the UPS and loads of other shippers but they all come back with qoutes that are twice the price of the board.

There must be a cheaper / specialist courier out there

I will keep looking …

thanks
