OK, so this leads nicely into the next logical question - who uses concave decks?
I got one put on my new board because I’ve been wanting to try one for myself for years. I’ve seen lots of pictures of guys doing it, first saw them here with Bert, and speedneedle had a whole thread of crazy deck concaves.
It makes sense in my mind, you lower your center of gravity as well as providing more sensitivity in rail to rail transitions. Supposedly they are real comfy to paddle on too since your chest kind of nestles in.
I’m curious to see how it differs. I got the same exact board that I’ve had for 5 years only with a concave deck so it should be a real good apples to apples test. Haven’t gotten the new board yet though…
